Cosmetics, perfume, jewellery and decorative pieces all meet in one place. Proteluna helps separate the furniture from everyday contact; wipe spills up as soon as you can. The protector is made from flexible 2 mm PVC, to the shape and the finished size you enter. Clear is the transparent finish and keeps the sideboard surface visible. Design is the printed finish and adds a curated motif.

What happens here every day
Three situations a protector is made for.
Morning and evening routine
Creams, toner, brushes and open bottles. Sooner or later something goes over. The protector sits between what was in the bottle and the surface of the furniture. Wipe spills up as soon as you can with a soft cloth - especially perfume and nail polish remover.
Jewellery, watches and small metal items
Earrings, buckles, clips and keys get put down quickly and without looking. Those are the things that leave the most small marks on a sideboard. Put anything with a sharp edge in a dish or on fabric, not straight onto the protector.
Decorative pieces that stand in the same spot for months
A vase, a photo frame, a jewellery box or a mirror. They stand for a long time and at some point they get moved. You size the protector to exactly the area you actually use. Clear keeps the grain and colour of the furniture visible; Design gives the whole top one consistent look.

A surface protector is a practical product. We would rather tell you what it does not do than have you find out at home.
Perfume, nail polish remover and solvents can damage the material
Spilt perfume, nail polish remover or a solvent-based cleaner can permanently change the surface of flexible PVC. Wipe them up as soon as you can. Keep bottles closed and, ideally, on a separate tray.
Heated appliances and open flames do not belong on the protector
Do not put curling tongs, hair straighteners, a hairdryer or a lit candle directly on the protector. Use a separate heat-resistant mat or a stand away from the protected area. We make no heat-resistance claim.
We make no chemical-resistance claim
We do not test the material against cosmetic or cleaning products, so we make no claim about it. Clean with a soft damp cloth, following the approved care guide for your finish. No abrasive sponges and no strong solvents.
Mirrors and metal ornaments must not sit on the protector with a sharp edge
A free-standing mirror, a metal tray or an ornament with an unfinished edge can cut into the 2 mm material, or scratch it when moved. Put felt or a soft pad underneath items like these.
Sideboard surfaces behave differently under a protector
Wood, veneer, laminate, matt lacquer and high gloss all behave differently under a protector. The surface type does not change the price or the production. If you are not sure, contact us before you order.
We make both Clear and Design for all the surface types listed. The surface type does not change the thickness or the price. If you are in doubt, do not carry on guessing - get in touch.
Shape and measuring
Measure the surface first, then pick the shape.
You enter the finished size you want to receive. For a circle you measure the diameter; for a rounded rectangle, the corner radius as well. Do not add anything to it or take anything off.

What happens if perfume or nail polish remover is spilt on the protector?
Wipe it up as soon as you can with a soft cloth. We make no chemical-resistance claim - perfume, nail polish remover and solvents can leave a permanent mark on the material. If you use products like these every day, take that into account when you choose where the protector goes and what size it is.
Can I put curling tongs or hair straighteners down on the protector?
No. Put heated appliances on a separate heat-resistant mat or a stand away from the protector. The same goes for a lit candle. The material is flexible 2 mm PVC, not glass, and we make no heat-resistance claim.
Should the protector cover the whole top, or only part of it?
That is your decision, based on where things actually get put down. On a dressing table the area around the mirror is often enough; on a sideboard the whole top tends to be more practical. You enter the finished size you want to receive. Do not add anything to it or take anything off.
Will I see what the protector looks like before I order?
Yes. In Studio you see a technical drawing with the shape, the finished size and the position of the print, plus a gallery of product photos. Room photos are illustrations - check the shape and size on the technical drawing. Once you finish your design, you will see an estimated price for the product. Shipping is calculated in the Shopify checkout after you enter your address. Studio does not yet show when your order will be dispatched.
Can I use both Clear and Design?
Yes. We make both Clear and Design for all the surface types listed - you choose directly in Studio.
Should I enter a slightly smaller size?
Enter the finished size you want to receive. Do not add a compensation of your own.
What if I'm not sure about the surface or the corner?
Do not carry on guessing. Use the measuring guide or write to us - we will look at it with you.
Is the preview accurate?
The drawing shows your shape, the finished sizes and, with a print, where the motif sits - that is what you use to check the configuration. The gallery holds product photographs of a finished protector.
